FAQ’s
Which type of system is the best for my home or business?
Because each application is different, we will need to review with you the usage, location, type of structure, comfort level you expect, and the return of your investment. We carefully listen to you and all of your concerns and the benefits you hope to achieve with your new equipment purchase. We know there is not a “one size fits all” when it comes to your comfort!
What is the most efficient system available?
GeoThermal ground source heating and cooling systems use less energy, and can also provide hot water for domestic or floor radiant heating. Some areas and structure designs are not receptive to these systems. In these situations we need to look at two-stage, high SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficient Ratio) heat pumps with either variable speed air handlers or variable speed gas furnaces.
Should I use multiple or single zoned systems?
Each application is different. There are situations where zoning a home with one system can be more cost effective and can actually allow for more “spot” cooling or heating to specific areas than a standard multiple system installation can provide. There are also applications where the cooling or heating design is more than one system can provide and will require multiple systems. With our experience in design and installation, we look at the complete picture and suggest what we think will be the best fit for your home or business.
What difference will the ductwork type, design and installation have on our structure?
You are building a structure that will last a lifetime. Your ductwork should also meet these standards. Flexible ducting does not have this ability and can also be a safe haven for infiltration by rodents spreading their disease in the air stream and causing air leakage. The ductwork should be adequately designed, sized, insulated, with all joints sealed, and of rigid metal construction to satisfy your comfort needs. We will work with YOUR budget to determine the best duct system we can give you!
Does Long Refrigeration provide financing?
With approved credit we have financing available through GE Money. We can pre-approve you with a simple application to find out exactly what you’ll qualify for and design the system to meet that price point. We also suggest the use of Home Equity Loans. We also have commercial leasing programs available with approved credit.
