We want to thank your crew for their excellent work installing our new York system. They were all extremely courteous, polite, professional and respectful of our concern that no damage occur to our woodwork, walls and new carpet during the installation process. Having had bad experiences in the past with service people working in and around our home, we were relieved and grateful to have such a pleasant experience. It is obvious that all of these employees take pride in their work and their behavior, and care about how they represent Long Refrigeration.
I want to express my thanks to Jim and the entire staff at Long Refrigeration for their competent, dedicated and professional attention over the last three plus years. During the initial consultation Jim completely assessed the sizing required for the new system, identified several problems I didn’t even know I had (improper air return and modifications to the old system), and made a great suggestion to add a steam humidifier to solve my very low humidity problems during the winter. The front office staff has always been great to deal with and the installation crew fixed all the initial problems with the cold air return and installed the new system in a professional manner.
Dear Jim,
We highly recommend Long Refrigeration to anyone considering a ground source heat pump. You spent the most time learning our needs and explaining ground source. You gave clear understanding of how the system operates, including (taking us on) a visit to see one in operation. You explained exactly how the desuperheater works and showed us where each component is located on the unit. None of the other bidders did that.
The installation was customized to our unique conditions in many ways. The abandoned water well in our back yard was used for one of the ground loops, avoiding the cost of drilling one of the wells. (You) also filled and properly sealed the old well to prevent ground water contamination.
The installation crew was professional. They took care to move the unit through the narrow spaces in our home to the equipment closet without soiling carpet or scuffing steps, door frames or walls. The crew answered our questions and responded to our requests while efficiently working through the installation.
We are very pleased with the installation and performance of our GeoComfort system from Long Refrigeration.
If anyone is looking for a good HVAC company in SWMO, the Himes highly recommend Long Refrigeration in Ozark. They installed our ground source heat pump system on our new house and have been one of the few shining stars in our home-building process who surpassed our expectations.
Jim Bellings has been amazing. After three months of bills, I brought some concerns up to Jim when our electric usage seemed much higher than expected with such an efficient system. We troubleshot over email, identified a couple plumbing issues that were wasting energy and money. Jim promptly offered to send someone out at his earliest convenience to address the issue. You then resolved the plumbing issues last week and we are already seeing efficiencies reflected in our usage. Jim also noticed a few other things that needed to be address. This morning you were back to insulate ducting that wasn’t properly insulated, cut in a new vent location and put a vent under our bathroom vanity that should have been done during cabinet installation.
They are willing to do whatever it takes to get our system working efficiently (including insulation, plumbing and cabinetry). They have gone above and beyond our expectations and I trust they will continue to do so.
Send your business their way and tell them the Himes sent you.
I want to express how happy I am with the York Affinity heating and cooling system that I purchased from you. The efficiency of the furnace is nothing short of AMAZING! I almost filled my 500 gallon propane tank two years ago after you installed the new system and still have just over 50% remaining after two whole winters!! More than enough to get us through another heating season! The first year I was so concerned that the gauge wasn’t moving that I had the propane company inspect it for defects! I know now that I simply won’t need to spend $1500-1600 every winter to heat my house. The savings in propane alone will pay for the “top of the line” system vs. a lesser system in 4-5 years! On top of that the electricity used to cool the house has gone down also, just not as ridiculously as propane use, and the house stays much more uniformly comfortable year round! You guys REALLY know your stuff!
